Hard Tissue Management in Surgical Dentistry

Surgical dentistry combines surgical techniques of soft and hard tissues to correct periodontal and oral tissues as well as to treat oral diseases. This course will focus on the hard tissue management and will provide important information for the clinician who wants to improve his knowledge and wants to be trained comprehensively in all these surgical techniques. Each participant will learn indications and contraindications of different hard tissue procedures and will perform frequently in an ex vivo model (under direct supervision) all the surgical procedures included in the program. Special focus on the hard tissue surgical techniques for Implant Dentistry!

  • Biological Principles and Properties of Bone Grafting Materials.
  • Bone Harvesting Techniques (Ramus Blocks, Chin Blocks, Tuberosity bone blocks, Trephine techniques) (incl. hands on).
